: In a major upset, Mumbai’s Kreishh Gurbaxani ended the dominance of
three-time champion Pankaj Advani with a brilliant 4-2 (74-34, 38-68,
16-78, 76-14, 119-0, 78-21) victory in the Round of 16 of the CCI
Snooker Classic 2026 at the Wilson Jones Billiards Hall. The result
brought an end to Advani’s remarkable winning run in the tournament.

and Composed Finish by Gurbaxani
Kreishh
Gurbaxani made a strong start with a 41 break to win
the opening frame. Pankaj Advani fought back with breaks of 52 and 45
to take the lead. However, Gurbaxani stayed composed and used smart tactical
play to win the next three frames in a row. The highlight was a superb 102
break in the fifth frame, which sealed a memorable victory.

Kadian Impresses with Solid Breaks
Haryana’s
Digvijay Kadian delivered an excellent performance to defeat Mumbai’s Rahul
Sachdev 4-2. He compiled impressive breaks of 53, 50, 91 and 63 to
dominate the match. Sachdev managed a notable 86 break in the fifth
frame.

Mehta Advances Confidently
India
No. 2 Aditya Mehta played a controlled and confident game to beat I.H.
Manudev 4-1 (52-43, 101-8, 69-6, 46-82, 60-63) and move into the
quarter-finals, maintaining steady form throughout.
Kanishk
Jhanjaria and Shaayan Razmi Shine
In
earlier matches, Mumbai’s Kanishk Jhanjaria displayed excellent potting
skills, making breaks of 68 and 77 to defeat Md Hussain Khan 4-1
(66-14, 23-65, 68-1, 74-46, 77-7). Youngster Shaayan Razmi also
impressed with a solid 4-2 (91-30, 61-52, 58-86, 28-57, 64-15, 54-11)
win over Vijay Nichani.

other matches, Mushtaq Khan defeated Pinak Anap 4-2 (90-0, 8-55,
0-105, 68-22, 91-32, 75-1), while Manan Chandra beat Faisal Khan
