The MahaIndoor Cricket Association has taken a major step forward by organizing a landmark District Association Expansion Program at the prestigious Garware Club House at Wankhede Stadium. During the session, International Umpire Shahabaz Mazgaonkar conducted an in-depth technical masterclass, explaining the rules and structure of indoor cricket. He highlighted how the game is faster, more intense, and strategically demanding compared to traditional outdoor cricket. His detailed insights helped attendees understand the nuances of the format, boosting their confidence to effectively organize and promote future competitions.

The Association’s Founder Chairman Kshitij Vedak and Founder Secretary Balasaheb (Bal) Toraskar provided clear direction on building a robust structure for indoor cricket across districts and talukas. They emphasized the vision of providing international-level platforms to players from every corner of Maharashtra. Sports organisers from Jalgaon, Chhatrapati Sambhaji Nagar, and Amravati showed strong interest in hosting State Championship Indoor Cricket Tournaments before May 2026. Organizers from across the state extended full support and assured successful execution of these events. This momentum is expected to accelerate the spread of indoor cricket at the grassroots level and help identify emerging talent from different regions.
