Umpire Exam on May 1
Opportunity to become a
certified umpire with online training
Mumbai: In cricket, as crucial as the players are, the umpire—who
can change the course of the match with a single decision—holds equal
importance. For individuals with sharp observation, sound knowledge of rules,
and confident decision-making ability, a significant opportunity has emerged.
The Maha Indoor Cricket Association (MICA) has announced the District
(L1) Umpire Certification Programme, with the examination scheduled on May
1, 2026.
Registration & Fee
Structure:
The registration
process is currently open. Candidates registering between April 13 and April
18 can avail a concessional fee of ₹500, while those
registering between April 19 and April 25 will be required to pay ₹1000. The study curriculum will be shared online on April

Expert Guidance:
Online training
sessions will be conducted from April 27 to April 30 at 8:30 PM (IST)
daily, focusing on key aspects of umpiring.
Examination &
Opportunity:
The exam will be held
on May 1, and results will be declared on May 3. Successful
candidates will be eligible to officiate as certified umpires in various
tournaments and leagues.
