Tournament gets set to unfold at the air-conditioned Prabodhankar
Thackeray Sports Complex, Vile Parle. Organized by Rotary Club of Mumbai
Parleshwar in association with Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Smarak
Samiti, Juhu, the tournament has already created waves with Prashant
More from Mumbai and Samruddhi Ghadigaonkar from Thane securing the top
seedings in their respective categories.

“Such huge numbers—how intense will the competition be?”—and rightly so, as a
massive 426 players in the men’s singles and 46 players in the
women’s singles have registered, making this one of the most competitive
editions. The enthusiasm among players clearly reflects the growing stature of
carrom in Maharashtra.
Men’s Singles Seeding Packed with Star Power
Leading the men’s category is Prashant
More, followed by top contenders Zaid Ahmed Farooqui, Sagar
Waghmare, Abhijit Tripankar, Vikas Dharia, Sandeep Dive,
Siddhant Wadwalkar, and Sameer Mohammad Jabir Ansari. “Each match
here promises elite-level skill and thrilling finishes,” making this lineup a
true delight for spectators.
Women’s Singles Led by Samruddhi
In the women’s category, Samruddhi
Ghadigaonkar tops the chart, followed by strong challengers Akanksha
Kadam, Mitali Pathak, Rinky Kumari, Ambika Harith, Prajakta
Narayankar, Sonali Kumari, and Chaitali Suware. “Every match
in this category is expected to be fiercely contested,” highlighting the depth

Schedule & Technical Excellence
The tournament begins on 3 April 2026 at
9 AM with men’s singles matches, while women’s matches will commence on 4
April 2026 from 4 PM onwards. A total of 32 Syska Bullet Shot carrom
boards and coins will be used, ensuring top-class playing conditions.
Officiating duties will be handled by international umpires Parvinder Singh
and Ramesh Chavan, while Ajit Sawant will serve as the Technical
Director.
