Uzbekistan : India’s U-17 girls boxers continued their sensational run at the Asian Boxing U-15 & U-17 Championships 2026 in Tashkent, Uzbekistan, confirming an impressive 12 medals with a series of dominant victories. The Indian contingent once again showcased remarkable depth, aggression, and technical superiority at the continental event.

 

Rakhi, Khushi and Mamta Lead the Charge; Strong Wins Set the Tone for India

Leading India’s medal surge, Rakhi (46kg) delivered a composed display to secure a convincing 5:0 victory over her opponent from Chinese Taipei. Khushi (48kg) impressed with aggressive boxing and sealed a first-round RSC win against Korea. Mamta (52kg) added another victory to India’s tally with a commanding RSC win in Round 2 against Jordan.

 


Laxmi, Navya and Ishika Continue Winning Momentum; Indian Boxers Dominate Across Weight Categories

Among other standout performances, Laxmi (54kg) registered a dominant third-round RSC victory over Mongolia, while Navya (57kg) completely outclassed her Chinese opponent with a brilliant 5:0 win. Ishika (60kg) continued the winning streak, sealing an RSC win in Round 2 against Mongolia.

 

Emphatic Finishes Highlight India’s Strength; Harnoor, Himanshi and Jyoti Shine in Later Bouts

The Indian team continued its dominance in the later bouts as well. Harnoor (66kg) and Himanshi (70kg) both secured impressive first-round RSC victories against opponents from Chinese Taipei. Jyoti (75kg) advanced after earning a disqualification victory against Turkmenistan, while Gurseerat (80+kg) completed another successful day for India with a solid 4:0 victory over Kazakhstan.

 


Close Fight for Ovi; Narrow Defeat in Tough Contest

In the only setback for the Indian girls on the day, Ovi (50kg) fought hard in a closely contested bout but narrowly lost 2:3 against her opponent from Uzbekistan.

 


Narendra Kumar Nella Impresses in Boys’ Category; Strong RSC Win Adds to India’s Success

In the boys’ section, Narendra Kumar Nella (44–46kg) delivered a commanding performance and secured a convincing RSC victory, further strengthening India’s overall campaign in the championship.
