In a thrilling Elite Men’s semi-final clash of the 15th Joe Fernandis Hockey
Tournament 2026, Mumbai Port Authority (MPA) displayed grit and
determination to register a hard-fought 3-2 victory over Mumbai
Customs and book their place in the final. Played at the St. Stanislaus
High School turf ground, Bandra, the match produced exciting hockey as both
teams battled fiercely for a spot in the title clash. Stephen Swamy
emerged as the star performer for MPA, scoring a brilliant brace, while Jay
Kale added the third goal to complete a memorable victory.

in the Veterans Men’s semi-final, Mumbai Customs produced a completely
dominant display as they handed Savio Sports Club a crushing 7-0
defeat. Veteran goal-scoring machine Jayesh Jadhav was in
sensational form, hammering home four goals and virtually deciding the
contest single-handedly. The one-sided encounter saw Customs completely outplay
their opponents in every department and leave no room for a comeback.

Apart
from Jayesh Jadhav’s remarkable four-goal haul, Arun Balra, Rajesh
Salian, and Ambrose Toppo contributed one goal each to complete the
emphatic victory. The comprehensive margin highlighted Mumbai Customs’
superiority as they powered into the Veterans final with an authoritative
performance, while Savio Sports Club had no answers to the relentless attacking
assault.
