Dharashiv, October 27: The teams of boys and girls from Solapur, Ratnagiri, have made a victorious debut at the 50th Golden Jubilee State Championship and Selection Trials for Kho-Kho.

This competition has been organized by the Maharashtra Kho-Kho Association in collaboration with the Osmanabad District Kho-Kho Association at the District Education and Training Institute's grounds until October 30. The competition, which began on Sunday, saw all matches on the inaugural day being one-sided.

The boys from Solapur secured a convincing victory over Jalna with a score of 21-8, while the girls won against Beed 17-5, maintaining a clean game. The boys from Ratnagiri dominated Latur 17-7, and the girls overpowered Nanded with a score of 19-6.

In the girls’ category, Dharashiv, Nashik and Jalna, along with Sangli Nashik and Beed in the boys’ category, also achieved splendid victories against their rival teams.
