Mumbai, November 14, 2024: The Malabar Hill Club State Ranking Snooker Tournament continued to showcase thrilling action at the MHC billiards hall, with some exciting matchups and impressive performances from both seasoned campaigners and young talents.

 

Chetan Rajarwal from Marathwada emerged victorious in a tense and hard-fought encounter against Zubair Sheikh of Nagpur. Rajarwal displayed exceptional grit and determination to seal a 3-2 victory in the best-of-5-frame ‘15-Red’ snooker match. With three solid breaks of 33, 34, and a superb 76 in the deciding frame, Rajarwal triumphed 46-47, 64-11, 66-7, 25-54, 88-1.

 

Meanwhile, Anurag Bagri, a seasoned cueist, demonstrated his experience by crafting breaks of 30, 46, and 40 to hand Aamir Ansari of Marathwada a 3-0 defeat (55-15, 80-8, 67-29). Bagri’s win was his second in the tournament, underlining his form and consistency.

 

Another experienced player, Hasan Badami, proved too strong for Nashik’s Jagdish Kurmi, blanking him 3-0 with frame scores of 66-8, 69-30, and 66-13.

 

Among the rising stars, talented Mumbai youngster Shahyan Razmi cruised to a 3-1 victory over Aashit Pandya of Dombivli (9-65, 74-30, 78-45, 65-17). Krishna Tohgaonkar from Thane also overcame Pandya in a similar 3-1 fashion (71-10, 54-22, 51-58, 61-52), continuing to impress in the early stages of the tournament.
