HYROX
India Ignites a New Era of Fitness in Mumbai
Mumbai
: India’s fitness landscape witnessed a revolutionary shift as the country
hosted its first-ever HYROX race at the NESCO Center, Mumbai. Over 1,650
athletes from 24 nations took on the HYROX challenge – eight 1km runs
interspersed with eight functional workouts – in a high-octane event that
blended endurance, strength, and spirit.
PUMA
athlete and Olympic swimmer Srihari Nataraj called it “a new wave of
fitness addiction,” lauding HYROX as a perfect blend of disciplines that
appeals to every kind of athlete. “Everyone loves a challenge – and HYROX has
it all,” he said.
The
event brought together a broad spectrum of participants – from 16-year-old Sayee
Gawale to 78-year-old Virendra Sood, reflecting HYROX’s inclusive
and accessible format. Notably, Bengaluru FC goalkeeper Gurpreet Singh
Sandhu highlighted its role in pushing traditional fitness boundaries.
The
Mumbai race served as a qualifier for the HYROX World Championships 2025
in Chicago, adding competitive edge to the event. Corporate teams, like
the one led by Bengaluru-based Anurag Rajshekar, found the format perfect for
community building and motivation.
HYROX
India is brought to the country through a partnership between HYROX World
and Yoska, supported by PUMA, Centr, Concept2, Myprotein,
and Red Bull.
The success of Mumbai sets high expectations for
the next HYROX India race in Delhi on 19th July. Registrations open soon
at www.hyrox.co.in. With
this powerful debut, HYROX has firmly planted the seeds for a fitness
revolution across India
