State Kho-Kho Championship to Be Held in Beed from 18 to 21 December – Dr. Chandrajit Jadhav


Players excited as national team selection approaches

 

Mumbai, 18 Nov: With the approval of the Maharashtra Kho-Kho Association and under the organisation of the Beed Amateur Kho-Kho Association, the 61st Men’s and Women’s State Kho-Kho Championship and Selection Trials will be held in Beed from 18 to 21 December, informed Dr. Chandrajit Jadhav, Secretary of the Maharashtra Kho-Kho Association and newly elected Associate Vice President of the Maharashtra Olympic Association.

 

The finest players from across the state will showcase their kho-kho skills at the Shrimant Yogi Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Sports Complex, Beed. Based on the performance in this important state championship, the Maharashtra men’s and women’s teams for the 58th National Championship will be selected. The selected teams will participate in the national competition to be held in Hyderabad, Telangana.

 

Only players registered with the Kho-Kho Federation are eligible to participate in the tournament. Entry forms, sample uniform number lists, and other details will be available on the official website from 1 December 2025. Participants must fill in the prescribed form issued by the state association and email it to maharashtrakhokhoassociation@gmail.com by 11:00 am on 15 December 2025. Handwritten entries will not be accepted.

 

The organising team – under the guidance of Prof. J. P. Shelke, with President - Rishikesh Shelke, Secretary - Vijay Jaher, and Varsha Kachchhava, Yogesh Solse, Manoj Jogdand, Ramesh Shinde, Kailash Gavte, Praful Hatwate – is working tirelessly to make this event a grand success.

Dr. Jadhav said that this championship will bring new energy to the sports culture of Beed, and spectators will get to witness thrilling matches between top players from all over Maharashtra.
