Cuncolim, South Goa: The excitement is building and the countdown has begun as Goa Kho Kho League 2026 – Season 2 is all set to take centre stage on 26th April 2026 at the DSYA Ground, Cuncolim, starting from 8:00 AM onwards. Organised by Swami Vivekananda Sports Club, Quepem, Goa, this mega sporting event promises electrifying action, intense competition and a vibrant celebration of India’s traditional sport, Kho Kho. With top talent from across Goa gearing up, the league is expected to deliver edge-of-the-seat thrill and unforgettable moments. Lima Lewis and Sanjay Velip of the All Goa Kho-Kho Association are collaborating to make this league a success.

 

Men’s Category: Six Teams, One Title, Ultimate Glory

In the Men’s category, a total of 6 teams will battle fiercely for supremacy, showcasing speed, strategy and stamina at its peak. The stakes are high with the winner’s prize set at ₹50,000 plus trophy, while the runner-up will receive ₹30,000 plus trophy. Every dive, every chase and every ‘Kho’ will reflect the hunger for victory, making this category a true spectacle for Kho Kho lovers.

 

Women’s Category: Power, Passion and Performance on Display

Promoting inclusivity and empowerment, the Women’s category will feature 4 competitive teams, ready to set the मैदान on fire with their agility and determination. The winning team will be awarded ₹30,000 plus trophy, while the runner-up will earn ₹20,000 plus trophy. This segment is expected to highlight the rising strength and skill of women players in Kho Kho, inspiring the next generation of athletes.

 

Player Auction & Registration: Professional Touch to the League

Adding a modern and professional dimension, the player auction is scheduled on 12th April 2026, where teams will strategically select the best talent to build strong squads. Interested players must complete their registration before the last date, 10th April 2026, through the official process. This structured approach ensures transparency, competitiveness and equal opportunity for all aspiring players.
