India has officially announced the second season of the Rugby Premier
League (RPL) 2026, scheduled from 16 to 28 June 2026 at the iconic
Gachibowli Stadium in Hyderabad. After the massive success of the inaugural
season in Mumbai, the league returns with greater intensity, promising a
thrilling display of high-speed Rugby 7s action and world-class
competition.

Building
on its successful debut, the league will feature the same 6 franchises,
ensuring continuity and stability. The tournament will once again bring
together top Indian and international players, offering fans an
electrifying mix of talent and competitiveness. The fast-paced Rugby 7s format
continues to align with the league’s long-term vision of enhancing India’s
global competitiveness in rugby.
Strategic
Move – Hyderabad as the New Host City:
The
decision to host the league in Hyderabad reflects GMR Sports’ commitment

with the Telangana Government, focusing on the development of a satellite
