played on Saturday, April 18, 2026 at 12:00 noon, setting up a thrilling

Islam Gymkhana’s Gritty Comeback Win; Pranay Kapadia’s 82 Turns the Game Around
In the first semifinal, Islam Gymkhana produced a fabulous all-round performance against Parsi Gymkhana.
Opting to field first, their bowlers Vinayak Bhoir (4/12) and Mubashshir
Shaikh (2/37) restricted Parsi to 148/7 in 20 overs, despite
contributions from Sumer Zaveri (30), Vedant Murkar (29) and *Sagar
Chhabria (33)*. Chasing the target,
Islam Gymkhana were under pressure at 66/4, but Pranay Kapadia
delivered a match-winning knock of 82 runs off 56 balls, smashing 8
fours and 3 sixes. His composed yet aggressive innings guided the team to
victory with 3 wickets in hand, earning him the Man of the Match
award. Shams Mulani (3/38) also made a key impact with the ball.
CCI Edge Past Karnataka in a Thriller; Irfan Umer’s 4 Wickets Seal a 3-Run Victory
The second semifinal between CCI and Karnataka
Sporting Association turned into a nail-biting contest that went down to
the last ball. Batting first, CCI posted 189/7, with Chinmay
Sutar (45) and Dhrumil Matkar (39) stitching a crucial 74-run
partnership after an early setback. Prathamesh Dake (3/38) and Vishal
Dabholkar (2/26) impressed with the ball. In
reply, Karnataka got off to a flying start with Anish Chaudhary (57) and
Tanush Kotian (84) putting on 120 runs in 11.5 overs. Kotian’s
powerful knock included 6 fours and 4 sixes, placing his team firmly in
control. However, the match took a dramatic turn when Irfan Umer (4/33)
and Kartik Mishra (2/44) produced tight and disciplined bowling,
reducing Karnataka from 139/2 in 14.3 overs to 176/7 in 19 overs. Needing 14 runs in the final over, Karnataka
faltered against sharp fielding efforts and could only reach 186/8,
handing CCI a thrilling 3-run victory. Irfan Umer was rightly
named Man of the Match for his match-winning spell.
