Mumbai : A breathtaking display of power-hitting, sharp bowling and high-voltage drama unfolded at the iconic Shivaji Park as the Late Shri Vijay Manjrekar – Late Shri Ramakant Desai T-20 Cricket Tournament witnessed a spectacular battle for semi-final spots! In a series of electrifying encounters, Parsi Gymkhana and Karnataka Sporting Association sealed their semi-final berths with dominant performances, while Harsh Salunke’s sensational 142 runs turned out to be a lone battle in a losing cause for Mumbai Police.

 

Record Knock but No Victory; Harsh Salunke’s 142 Overshadowed by National CC Chase

In one of the most dramatic matches, Mumbai Police posted a massive 256/6, powered by a fabulous innings from Harsh Salunke (142), the highest score of the tournament so far, supported by Sunil Patil (41). Pravesh Pal (2/28) contributed with the ball.
However, National Cricket Club pulled off a stunning chase, scoring 259/5, thanks to collective brilliance from Hardik Tamore (59), Vedant Patil (67), Aditya Srivastava (35) and Siddharth Akre (unbeaten 58), sealing a memorable victory.

 

Karnataka Sporting’s All-Round Dominance; Gaurish Jadhav Shines with Bat, Vaibhav Mali Wrecks with Ball

Continuing their winning momentum, Karnataka Sporting Association delivered a complete performance. Batting first, they scored 209/5, with Gaurish Jadhav (unbeaten 78) leading from the front, ably supported by Tanush Kotian (38), Makarand Patil (32) and Vishwajit Jagdale (unbeaten 30). In reply, the opposition collapsed to 118 all out in 15.1 overs, with Sairaj Patil (38) offering resistance. The star performer was Vaibhav Mali (5/16), whose fiery spell dismantled the batting lineup.

 

Parsi Gymkhana’s Clinical Chase; Harsh Aghav’s Unbeaten 57 Guides Victory

D.Y. Patil Sports Academy posted a strong 220/6, with Sohil Gode (77) and Suraj Shinde (77) playing explosive knocks, while Harshal Jadhav (33) added valuable runs. Zaid Patankar (2/40) impressed with the ball for Parsi Gymkhana. Chasing 222, Parsi Gymkhana showcased remarkable composure, reaching 222/5 with 4 balls to spare. The chase was anchored by Harsh Aghav (unbeaten 57), along with solid contributions from Sumer Zaveri (46), Ayush Vartak (42), Jai Jain (32) and Vedant Murkar (30).

 

Other Matches Deliver High Drama; Minad Manjrekar and Varun Joijode Impress with the Ball

In another match, MIG Club scored 189/6, led by Shish Shetty (71) and Naman Jhavar (50). But New Hind Sporting collapsed to just 88, thanks to brilliant bowling by Minad Manjrekar (4/16) and Varun Joijode (2/15). Meanwhile, Sind Cricket Team posted 193, with Awais Khan (63) playing a key role, while Shams Mulani (4/40) shone with the ball. However, Parsi Gymkhana chased it down with 194/6, powered by Vedant Murkar (52), Jai Jain (54) and Ayush Vartak (unbeaten 33).
