Mumbai : In a thrilling finale filled with power-hitting and composure under pressure, Bank of Baroda emerged champions with a convincing 6-wicket victory over Reserve Bank of India Recreation Club in the Elite Division final of the 64th Sir Benegal Rama Rau RBI Bank Shield T20 Cricket Tournament 2026, played at the Mumbai Police Gymkhana ground, with Harsh Aghav delivering a match-winning performance.

 

Aghav’s Masterclass – Unbeaten 92 Seals the Title

Chasing a competitive target of 158 runs, Harsh Aghav played a sensational unbeaten knock of 92 runs off 41 balls, smashing 6 boundaries and 8 sixes to dominate the chase and anchor his team to victory. His aggressive yet controlled innings proved decisive, while Nutun Goel (21) provided useful support. For RBI, Anuj Giri (2/25) was the pick of the bowlers.

 

RBI’s Fighting Total – Dandekar Leads the Charge

Earlier, opting to bat first, Reserve Bank of India Recreation Club posted 157 for 8 in 20 overs. Ameya Dandekar (40) top-scored, while *Sairaj Nair (23)**, Tejas Kalyankar (22), and Ganesh Masurkar (21) contributed valuable runs to build a competitive total. For Bank of Baroda, Irfan Umair (2/23) delivered an effective bowling spell to keep the scoring in check.
