: India’s U-15 boys boxing team continued its strong run at the Asian Boxing
U-15 Championships 2026 in Tashkent, Uzbekistan, with six boxers
advancing to the finals and seven others securing bronze medals
after the semifinal stage. The Indian contingent once again showcased excellent
skill, determination, and fighting spirit on the continental stage.
Yash
Kumar and Sastha Vasanth Start Strongly; Dominant Wins Power India Forward
In
the 33kg category, Yash Kumar delivered a commanding performance
to register a 5:0 victory over Kiyan Iqbal of UAE and secure his
place in the final. Sastha Vasanth Ashok Kumar (37kg) also impressed
with a strong win by Referee Stopped Contest in Round 2 against Aziretali
Sanzharbekov of Kyrgyzstan.
Samir
Bohra and Sudarsan Chandak Shine; Indian Boxers Continue Winning Momentum
In the 43kg category, Samir Bohra produced a composed display to defeat Adizbek Ilkhombekov of Uzbekistan by a 4:1 margin. Sudarsan Vasudeva Chandak (52kg) added another impressive victory with an RSC win in Round 1 against Amirmahdi Shad of Iran.

Yasser and Ronak Lokhande Seal Final Spots; Convincing Victories Highlight
India’s Strength
In
the 58kg category, Mohd Yasser secured a convincing 5:0
victory over Seyyed ariya mohammad Mousa of Iran. Ronak Parag
Lokhande (67kg) rounded off India’s winning performances with a dominant first-round
RSC victory against Mukhammadali Berdikulov of Kyrgyzstan.

In
other semifinal bouts, Rohit Pothina (35kg) went down 0:5 against
Zhaksylyk Yermekuly of Kazakhstan, while Nitin (40kg) suffered a
narrow 2:3 defeat against Uzbekistan’s Jasurbek Khayrullaev.

Meitei Oina (46kg) also lost a close 2:3 bout to Mansur
Abdukhamitov of Uzbekistan, while Parshant (49kg) went down 0:5
against Sardor Omonboev of Uzbekistan.
In
the 55kg category, Harshvardhan Jeena suffered a 0:5 defeat
against Nurislam Baktubayev of Kazakhstan. Dev (64kg) lost 1:4
against Korea’s Hyeonseok Yoo.

In
the 70+kg category, Sushant Jayani suffered an RSC defeat in
Round 1 against Uzbekistan’s Ibrokhim Mirzakarimov, ending his
campaign in the semifinals.
