U-17 Championships 2026 in Tashkent, Uzbekistan, delivering a series of
strong performances across multiple categories. With a mix of dominant
victories and closely fought bouts, the Indian contingent showcased depth and
promise as the tournament progressed.
U-17
Boys Register Key Victories; Yadav Yash and Karuna Albertson Kom Lead the
Charge
In
the U-17 boys’ category, Yadav Yash (50kg) delivered a commanding
5:0 victory over Suleyman Ahmedov of Turkmenistan, displaying
complete control. Karuna Albertson Kom (60kg) also impressed with a
solid 4:1 win against Ali Nazarov of Tajikistan, strengthening
India’s position in the competition.

Fights in Close Contests; Gopal Ganeshe Narrowly Misses, Prashant Faces Strong
Rival

Rameshwar Ganeshe (52kg) was involved in a closely
contested bout but went down narrowly 2:3 against Nazarov Damir
of Tajikistan. Meanwhile, Mishra Prashant (57kg) faced a strong
challenge from China’s Tangjie Liu and lost 0:5 in a tough
encounter.
U-15
Girls Deliver Dominant Performances; Khushi Rana and Hanshika Attri Shine in
Quarterfinals
In
the U-15 girls’ quarterfinals, Khushi Rana (49kg) delivered a
powerful performance, winning by RSC in Round 1 against Vietnam’s Thi
Ngoc Truc Nguyen. Hanshika Attri (46kg) also dominated her bout with
a convincing 5:0 victory over Uzbekistan’s Visola Bakhtiyorova.
However, Nitya Pandey (55kg) fought well but was defeated by
Kazakhstan’s Aruna Shalman.
U-15
Boys Continue Winning Form; Samir Bohra Secures Confident Victory
Among
the U-15 boys, Samir Bohra (43kg) registered an impressive 5:0
win against Hao-Ting Chang of Chinese Taipei in the preliminary
round, adding to India’s strong showing.
