India’s
rising boxing stars continued their impressive campaign at the Asian Boxing
U-15 & U-17 Championships 2026 in Tashkent, Uzbekistan, with a series
of strong performances and multiple victories across categories. The Indian
contingent once again displayed depth and determination as the tournament
progressed.
U-15
Boys Shine with Dominant Wins; Nongpoknganba, Parshant and Yasser Lead the
Charge
In
the U-15 boys’ category, Nongpoknganba Meitei Oina (46kg) secured
a convincing 5:0 win over Abdurakhman Vushanlo of Kazakhstan. Parshant
(49kg) mirrored this result with another 5:0 victory against Bakdaulet
Akhmet. Mohd Yasser (58kg) stood out with a powerful display,
sealing his bout via RSC in Round 1 against Akbarzhan Nabidzhanov
of Kyrgyzstan.

Pal (54kg) impressed with a dominant 5:0 win over Adilet
Galiyev of Kazakhstan. Ranveer (66kg) advanced in the competition

Results in Other Bouts; Lilmani Singh and Mehul Rana Face Tough Losses
In
other matches, Lilmani Singh Lukram (61kg) went down via RSC in Round
3 against Uzbekistan’s Azizbek Egamberganov, while Mehul Rana
(70kg) suffered an RSC loss in Round 1 against Kazakhstan’s Ayan
Bauyrzhan.
U-17
Boys Continue Strong Form; Lakshay Phogat Impresses with Dominant Win
In
the U-17 boys’ evening session, Pal Nivesh (54kg) continued his
strong form with a 5:0 victory over Adilet Galiyev of Kazakhstan.
Ranveer (66kg) registered a win by ABD against Ying-Chieh Chen
of Chinese Taipei. Lakshay Phogat (75kg) delivered a standout
performance, clinching a first-round RSC win over Sri Lanka’s Ranchigodagama
Arachchila.
Tough
Challenges for Indian Boxers; Pradeep and Jaideep Singh Go Down Fighting
However,
Pradeep (63kg) and Hanjra Jaideep Singh (80kg) faced strong
opponents and went down 0:5 against Rushen Saydullaev of
Uzbekistan and Alibek Alpamys of Kazakhstan, respectively.
