: In a spectacular display of power-packed batting and disciplined bowling, Reserve
Bank of India ‘B’ registered a thumping 9-wicket victory against J.P.
Morgan Chase in the Plate Division quarter-final of the prestigious 64th
Sir Benegal Rama Rau Bank Shield T20 Cricket Tournament, organised by RBI
under the aegis of the MCA and played at the iconic Azad Maidan on
Saturday. The unbeaten partnership between Vishwas Krishna and Ketan
Dangar completely dismantled the opposition as RBI marched into the
semi-finals in emphatic style.

Gupta Leads J.P. Morgan Fightback
Asked
to bat first, J.P. Morgan Chase posted a competitive total of 173 for
8 in 20 overs. The innings was anchored by Ankit Gupta, who played a
solid knock of 47 runs, while Raj Gohil contributed 31 runs.
Valuable contributions also came from Makrand Raul with 24 runs
and Deepankar Krity with 20 runs. However, RBI bowlers maintained
tight control throughout the innings, with Sandeep V. emerging as the
most successful bowler claiming 3 wickets for 27 runs. He was well
supported by Ashish Gangwal (2 for 34) and Shahbaz Khan (2
for 40).

Chasing
a target of 174 runs, RBI ‘B’ delivered a batting masterclass and
comfortably reached 174 for 1 in just 17.2 overs. Opener Vishwas
Krishna played a composed unbeaten knock of 73 runs, while one-down
batter Ketan Dangar matched him stroke for stroke with an unbeaten 71
runs. The duo stitched together a match-winning partnership and guided RBI
to victory with remarkable ease, leaving the opposition bowlers helpless.

For
their outstanding unbeaten performances and match-winning partnership, Vishwas
Krishna and Ketan Dangar were jointly declared the Man of the
Match. Their brilliant batting display proved decisive in RBI ‘B’ sealing a

ICICI
Bank Also Advance to Semi-finals
In
another quarter-final encounter, ICICI Bank defeated India First Life
Insurance by 7 wickets to book their place in the semi-finals.
Batting first, India First Life Insurance scored 135 for 4 in 20 overs,
with Ritesh Poojari remaining unbeaten on 51 runs off 51 balls,
while Aniket Bhalerao contributed 26 not out and Prem Mehta
added 23 runs. Shahnawaz Shaikh impressed with the ball taking 2
wickets for 21 runs.
In
reply, ICICI Bank comfortably chased down the target scoring 136 for 3 in
18.2 overs. Vishal Pawar remained unbeaten on 37 runs, while Shreyas
Tandel chipped in with 34 runs to steer ICICI Bank into the next
round.
