Mumbai : Sea View SC and Don Bosco SC emerged as champions in the Senior Women’s and Boys’ U-16 categories respectively at the 15th Joe Fernandis Memorial Hockey Tournament 2026, organised by AHWA and played at the St. Stanislaus High School Ground, Bandra. The final day witnessed exciting contests, outstanding individual performances and memorable title-winning moments as the champions celebrated well-deserved victories.

 

Reshma Mahadik Leads Sea View to Women’s Title

In the Senior Women’s Final, Reshma Mahadik produced a match-winning performance, scoring both goals to guide Sea View SC to a convincing 2-0 victory over Warriors SC. Displaying excellent attacking instincts and finishing ability, Reshma struck twice to ensure Sea View remained in complete control and successfully lifted the championship trophy.

 

Don Bosco Hold Nerve in Dramatic Tie-Breaker

The Boys’ U-16 Final turned out to be a tense and closely fought battle as Don Bosco SC and Republicans SC were locked in a goalless draw at the end of regulation time. The title was eventually decided through a tie-breaker, where Don Bosco displayed remarkable composure to secure a 3-2 victory and claim the championship.

Don Bosco successfully converted all three tie-breaker attempts through Royden Koli, Arnav Khot, and Saarth Hiramath. For Republicans SC, Chingshubam Heithoiba and Shubham Shinde found the target. The decisive moment came when Don Bosco goalkeeper Meet Pawar produced a brilliant save to deny Foaad Shaikh’s attempt from the spot, ensuring a memorable triumph for his team.

In the Veterans Men’s Final, Hockey Mira Road edged past Mumbai Customs by a narrow 1-0 margin to lift the title. The match-winning moment came from Meghraj S., whose decisive goal proved enough to separate the two sides and secure the championship for Hockey Mira Road.
