Harsh Steers M.V. Sports Club in Final

Mumbai: M.V. Sports Club, propelled by the all-round brilliance of Harsh Kadam (76 & 36 runs, and 2 wickets for 7 runs), defeated MIG Cricket Academy by three wickets on the second day of their 2-day semi-final in the 28th Ajit Naik Memorial Selection Trial Boys’ U-14 Cricket Tournament, at the MIG CC ground.

Resuming at their overnight score of 107 for 4, Harsh anchored the M.V. Sports Club innings with a gritty 76 off 129 balls, which included 10 boundaries. His responsible batting ensured M.V. Sports Club posted 159 all out in 51.3 overs, earning a 16-run first-innings lead after dismissing MIG CA for 143 runs in the first innings.

In their second innings, MIG CA's batting collapsed once again as they managed only 102 runs in 24.5 overs. Vedang Mishra (46) offered resistance, but Nirvaan Shah's impressive spell of 4 for 28 restricted their total, leaving M.V. Sports Club with a modest target of 86 runs for victory.

Chasing the target, M.V. Sports Club faced stiff resistance from MIG’s bowlers, especially Agastya Kashikar (3/24). However, Harsh Kadam once again rose to the occasion with a vital 36 runs, steering his team to a hard-fought win, finishing at 87 for 7 in 16.4 overs.
