Mumbai, December 6: Shabaz Khan displayed exceptional grit and determination to edge past a spirited Sumer Mago with a hard-fought 4-3 win in the semi-finals of the Malabar Hill Club Maharashtra State Billiards & Snooker Championships 2024. The match was played on Thursday at the Malabar Hill Club billiards hall.

In the other semi-final, Rayaan Razmi demonstrated steady form to overcome seasoned cueist Aditya Mehta with a convincing 4-2 scoreline, setting the stage for an exciting final showdown.

In his semi-final, Shabaz started strongly, crafting a brilliant break of 83 to clinch the opening frame. He carried the momentum to win the second frame, establishing a 2-0 lead. However, State-ranked number eight, Mago, fought back resiliently to level the match by winning the next two frames.
