All-rounder Advait shines in Bhosale CA’s easy win
Mumbai: All-rounder Advait Kekan showcased an outstanding
all-round performance, taking 3 wickets for 20 runs and contributing 25 runs
with the bat, to guide Bhosale CA to a convincing 7-wicket victory against MCC
Thane in the second round of the Mumbai CC Academy Boys’ U-12 Talent Search
Cricket League 2024-25, organized by the Jwala Sports Foundation and played at
the Oval Maidan.
Batting first, MCC Thane posted 141 runs for 9 wickets in
their 25 overs. Virat Nikumbh played a brilliant knock of 70 runs off 64 balls,
supported by Krish Sharma with 22 runs. For Bhosale CA, Advait Kekan was the
standout bowler with figures of 3 for 20, while Cristiano Buthello provided
good support, taking 2 wickets for 33 runs.
In response, Bhosale CA chased the target comfortably,
scoring 142 for 3 in just 20 overs. Kiaan P. led the charge with a quick-fire
61 off 48 balls, while Advait Kekan chipped in with 25 runs. Edhas Swain added
an unbeaten 21 runs to seal the win. Shaardul Joshi was the pick of the bowlers
for MCC Thane, taking 2 wickets for 18 runs.
