Stars in BEST's Dominant 80-Run Victory Over Times of India

A brilliant all-round performance from Nilesh Kharmale, who scored an unbeaten
51 runs and took 2 wickets for just 18 runs, led BEST Arts & Sports Club to
a commanding 80-run victory over Times of India in a third-round match of the
14th Insurance Shield T20 cricket tournament. The match was played at Cross
Maidan on Tuesday.
Batting
first, BEST posted a formidable total of 189/6 in their allotted 20 overs.
Opening batsman Vinay Sopte top-scored with a solid 74 runs, while Kharmale
played a vital role in the lower order with a quickfire half-century. Ketan
Dhataukar also contributed with a useful 25 runs. For Times of India, Satyajit
Banerjee was the standout bowler, taking 2 wickets for 11 runs.
In
response, Times of India could only manage 109/8 in 20 overs, thanks to
disciplined bowling from the BEST attack. Vijay Yadav (2/2), D.S. Garge (2/5),
and Kharmale (2/18) shared the wickets, restricting Times of India to a
below-par total. Dharmesh Baria (28) and Sachin Aphandkar (22) were the top
scorers for Times of India.
With
this comprehensive win, BEST Arts & Sports Club proved their all-round
strength, with both bat and ball coming together for a dominant performance.
