Rohit Chougule Advances
to Fourth Round in Kolhapur State Ranking Carrom Tournament
Kolhapur: In a spirited
showdown at the Ganga Bhagyoday Cultural Hall, Kasba Bawda, Rohit Chougule
from Kolhapur delivered an impressive performance in the State Ranking
Carrom Tournament organized by Shambhuraje Friends Circle, marking MLA Satej
Patil’s birthday. Rohit secured a straight-set victory over Mumbai’s Bharat
Koli with scores of 25-6, 21-9, storming into the fourth round.
Adding to Kolhapur’s glory, 15-year-old Mohammad Tajim
Aslam Shaikh stunned Pune’s Sunil Wagh by notching a White Slam
and winning the match 21-16, 25-2.
Sukhbir Singh Katanoria from Pune also entered the fourth round by defeating Shantilal Jitiya
(Mumbai) 25-6, 25-15.
