Punjab’s Digvijay Kadian continued his sensational run of form and
clinched his maiden CCI Snooker Classic 2026 title with a thumping 7-1
victory over Brijesh Damani (PSPB) in the best-of-13 frames final,
played at the Wilson Jones Billiards Hall. The 23-year-old cueist
delivered a near-flawless performance to dominate the contest from start to
finish.

Kadian showcased excellent cue control and precision,
compiling impressive breaks of 88 (2nd frame), 67 (3rd frame), 91 (6th
frame), and 37 (8th frame). After narrowly losing the opening frame on the
black, he bounced back strongly and controlled the match with consistent
scoring to seal a convincing 7-1 (55-59, 88-17, 77-1, 83-73, 76-36, 92-0,
62-53, 95-0) win.

Despite
losing the first frame, Kadian quickly regained momentum with a fine
break of 88 to level the scores. Thereafter, he maintained complete
control with precise shot selection and steady play, hardly allowing Brijesh
Damani any chance to recover.

champion Brijesh Damani had his chances but failed to capitalise at
crucial moments. A few missed routine pots proved costly, as Kadian took
full advantage with disciplined and consistent scoring in every visit to the
table.

this victory, Digvijay Kadian earned a prize of Rs 3.5 lakhs,
while runner-up Brijesh Damani received Rs 1.75 lakhs. The losing
semi-finalists Shaayan Razmi and Paras Gupta were awarded Rs
80,000 each for their commendable performances.

Gritty Semi-Final Comeback
In
the semi-final, Brijesh Damani displayed great fighting spirit as he
rallied from 1-4 down to defeat Paras Gupta (Uttar Pradesh) 6-5
in a thrilling encounter. Despite the loss, Paras Gupta created the
highest break of the tournament with a superb 115, earning a special
award of Rs 25,000.
