The CCI Snooker Classic 2026, currently being played at the Wilson
Jones Billiards Hall of the Cricket Club of India (CCI), witnessed another
day of exciting second round matches. V. Subramanian (Raja) displayed
excellent form with two impressive breaks, while Sumit Naidu produced
confident potting to record a convincing victory and move into the next round.

Subramanian Compiles 49 and 44 Breaks to Beat Kamte
In
a notable match, V. Subramanian (Raja) defeated Gaurav Kamte 3-1
(56-62, 67-5, 95(49)-14, 75(44)-25). Raja lost the opening frame but made a
strong comeback by winning the next three frames. He constructed two fine
breaks of 49 in the third frame and 44 in the fourth frame, which
helped him secure a comfortable victory and advance to the next round.
Sumit
Naidu Outplays Rajeev Sharma
Meanwhile,
Sumit Naidu produced confident potting and played a couple of crisp long
shots to defeat Rajeev Sharma 3-0 (76-7, 88-40, 54-23). Naidu
dominated the match throughout and controlled all three frames with ease.
Om
Sawant Wins Close Contest Against Kushal Galaiya
In
a closely fought encounter, Om Sawant was taken the distance by Kushal
Galaiya before managing to win the deciding frame and clinch a 3-2
(68-44, 47-46, 55-70, 27-48, 53-39) victory. The match remained competitive
until the final frame, where Sawant held his nerve to secure the win.
Convincing
Wins for Gehani, Imran Khan and Ibrahim Sheikh
Among
other results, Vishal Gehani defeated Sayed Raza 3-0
(73(42)-17, 59-39, 86(34)-37) with a solid performance. Imran Khan
registered a 3-0 (84-19, 69-14, 53-50) win against Tarun Sanghania,
while Ibrahim Sheikh comfortably beat Changdeo Pacharne 3-0
(63-9, 77-38, 52-17).
Parekh,
Satish Singh and Jagdale Also Advance
In
other matches, Mitul Parekh defeated Gautam Karnani 3-0
(74-44, 73-47, 53-26). Satish Singh overcame Azam Khan 3-0
(74-16, 69-43, 54-21), while Mahesh Jagdale beat Punit Thakkar
3-1 (72-8, 60-50, 38-48, 55-31) to progress further in the competition.
The
CCI Snooker Classic 2026 continues to feature competitive matches and
