commanding 96-run first innings lead in the Plate Division final of the MCC
Pro 40 Boys’ U-16 Cricket League 2026, organised by Jwala Sports

Mohammad
Ameen’s Deadly Spell Breaks MCC Purple
After
winning the toss and electing to bat first, MCC Purple were bundled out
for 247 runs in 58.2 overs despite a fighting knock from Yuv Shah,
who narrowly missed a century after scoring a brilliant 97 runs off 117

whose sensational bowling spell of 6 wickets for 33 runs ripped through
the MCC Purple batting line-up and restricted them from posting a bigger total.

In
reply, MCC Pink produced a superb batting performance led by the classy Aditya
Ghosh, who smashed a magnificent 132 runs off 123 balls to put his
team firmly in control of the final. His brilliant century laid the foundation
for MCC Pink’s imposing first innings total of 343 runs in 70.3 overs.
Though Akshat Dhaas bowled impressively for MCC Purple and claimed 4
wickets for 48 runs, MCC Pink secured a massive 96-run first innings
advantage which ultimately proved decisive.
